ORLANDO — Jacksonville attorney Dominic C. MacKenzie has been reappointed to serve a second three-year term on the board of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization that works to expand access to justice on behalf of Florida’s legal profession.
MacKenzie, a defense trial attorney with Holland & Knight LLP, first joined the Foundation’s board in 2007.
MacKenzie received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and his juris doctor from Florida State University College of Law.
As a Foundation board of director, MacKenzie has served on the legal assistance for the poor/ law student assistance, IOTA operations, development and executive committees.
He also served on many state and local bar committees, including The Florida Bar’s Rules of Civil Procedure; Rules of Judicial Administration; Rules of Evidence; the Florida Supreme Court Standing Committee on Professionalism; and the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Pro Bono and Guardianship Committee. MacKenzie was recently appointed to serve on the Statewide Pro Bono Committee.
MacKenzie, who is a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow, will begin his term July 1.
