Attorney George F. Knox reappointed to Florida Bar Foundation Board

ORLANDO -- Miami attorney George F. Knox has been reappointed by The Florida Bar to serve a second three-year term on the board of directors
of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide nonprofit organization that funds Legal Aid, as well as programs to improve Florida’s justice system and encourage law students and young lawyers to pursue public interest careers.

He has served on the Foundation’s board since 2006.

Knox, the founding partner of The Knox Firm, earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.

Prior to his appointment to the Foundation, Knox chaired the local government section of The Florida Bar. He is also a member of the Wilkie D. Ferguson Bar Association and the Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association.

He has served as a member of the development, grant program and Medal of Honor awards committees of the Foundation.

Knox, whose term on the board begins July 1, is also a Fellow of The Florida Bar Foundation.
