Attorney L. Christian Marlin reappointed to The Florida Bar Foundation Board

ORLANDO -- Miami attorney L. Christian Marlin has been reappointed by The Florida Supreme Court to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide nonprofit organization that funds Legal Aid, as well as programs to improve Florida’s justice system and encourage law students and young lawyers to pursue public interest careers.

Marlin, head of the Miami office of Sitrick And Company, one of the nation's leading public relations and crisis communications firms, first joined the Foundation's board in 2006, when he was deputy general counsel and head of litigation of Lennar Corporation.

Marlin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and his juris doctor from Emory University School of Law.

In his service to the Foundation, Marlin has served on the administration of justice and development committees.

Marlin has a long history of public service, including his pro bono work with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), an organization he co-founded while in law school. Marlin also previously worked for the Orange County Legal Aid Society’s Guardian Ad Litem Program for five years, beginning in 1998, and served as chairman of Orlando-based central funding agency Community Coordinated Care for Children (“4C”).

Marlin, whose term on the board begins July 1, is also a Fellow of The Florida Bar Foundation.
