ORLANDO -- St. Petersburg attorney Michael J. Faehner has been reappointed by The Florida Bar to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide nonprofit organization that funds Legal Aid, as well as programs to improve Florida’s justice system and encourage law students and young lawyers to pursue public interest careers.
Faehner first joined the Foundation’s board in 2006.
A tax attorney for Fisher & Sauls, P.A., Faehner practices tax and estate planning, trusts and probate administration, business and corporate law along with civil and commercial litigation.
Faehner received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and his juris doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. He also received his master’s degree in taxation from the University of Florida.
He has a long history of service to Bar-related organizations, including being past president of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division.
Faehner is also a past president of the Clearwater Bar Association, where he was its youngest president ever, and is also a past president of the Clearwater Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
He has also served on the administration of justice, budget and finance and grant program committees of the Foundation.
Faehner, whose term on the board begins July 1, is also a Fellow of The Florida Bar Foundation.
