Attorney Scott G. Hawkins to become director on Foundation board

ORLANDO — As Florida Bar president-elect,
West Palm Beach attorney Scott G. Hawkins will serve as a designated director on the board of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization that works to expand access to justice on behalf of Florida’s legal profession.

Hawkins earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, his juris doctor from the University of Florida College of Law and his M.B.A. from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

As shareholder and vice-chair of Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, P.A., Hawkins practices business litigation law.

Hawkins has served on The Florida Bar Board of Governors and on various Florida Bar sections and committees. He is a past president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association.

He is an active alumnus at the University of Florida and has held the positions of President of the International Alumni Association, President of the College of Law Alumni Council, Member of the Board of Trustees of the College of Law and Board Member of the University of Florida Foundation.  Additionally, he is vice-chair of the Palm Beach Atlantic University Board of Trustees.

He has been named one of the Top Lawyers in South Florida by the South Florida Legal Guide and has been named to Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite.

Hawkins, who is a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow, will begin his term July 1.
