ORLANDO — Meeting March 18 in Tampa, The Florida Bar Foundation's board of directors approved more than $4.2 million in grants. Funding approved at the meeting included $2,236,082 in Children’s Legal Services and $1,230,270 in Affordable Housing grants to legal aid organizations around the state. Also funded were projects under the Foundation's Law Student Assistance and Improvements in the Administration of Justice grant programs, including $319,600 to the Innocence Project of Florida. The grant to the Innocence Project includes $15,000 for its "Exonoree Emergency Fund." This grant requires a dollar-for-dollar match from IPF donors.
